PC and console software sales in the US generated $613 million for the month of March 2018, a 10% dip from last year $682 million. This could be explained by the fact that March 2017 saw the release of a brand new console with one of the highest-rated games of the last few years, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
March 2018 was still a successful month for several games that had their debuts. Far Cry 5 topped the chart while Microsoft’s pirate simulation, Sea of Thieves, came at number two. MLB 18: The Show and Kirby Star Allies, two games that also came out in March, followed on the list. While A Way Out had a great first month, it still was not enough to crack the top 10.
